WHY SUPPORT EDUCATION?

Education is the key to a better future. Through it, children can develop the skills they need to escape the cycle of poverty and build a life with more and better opportunities. A simple and basic school kit can certainly be the first step to encourage and bring these children closer to a world of possibilities.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO DONATE A SCHOOL KIT?

In many parts of Africa, access to education is a luxury that many children cannot afford. Schools are often deprived of resources and do not have adequate teaching materials, and families already in great difficulty in finding basic necessities cannot afford to buy pens, notebooks, backpacks and other essential tools to guarantee their children a quality education.

A school kit is not just a set of material objects. For children it is a tangible sign that someone believes in them and in their future.

WHAT DOES A KIT CONTAIN?

Each school kit we donate is designed to cover a child’s basic needs during the school year and includes:

– Exercise books and exercise books
– Pens, pencils and erasers
– Colored pencils and drawing tools
– Durable backpack
– Materials for mathematics (rulers, squares)
– A pencil case to organize everything
– Any other teaching materials that local schools need

HOW MUCH DOES A KIT COST AND HOW IS IT DISTRIBUTED?

With €15 you can donate a complete school kit to a child.
With 100€ you can provide school supplies to an entire class.

The Don Bosco 2000 association works directly with local schools, teachers and communities to ensure that school kits are distributed to children who need them most. We work closely with schools to understand their needs and to make sure that the materials are appropriate and useful for their learning journey.
Our volunteers, together with local communities, are committed to ensuring that each school kit reaches the right recipient, transforming a donation into a concrete tool for change for every child.
