DONATE TO BUILD CHICKEN COOPS IN THE SAVANNAH

COSTRUIAMO POLLAI PER DARE UN LAVORO DIGNITOSO ALLE DONNE DELLA SAVANA

WHY ARE WE BUILDING CHICKEN COOPS IN THE SAVANNAH?

The women of the village of Gourel, on the outskirts of Tambacounda, live and work in inhumane conditions: they dig the earth in search of stones that are filtered through nets and then purchased by construction companies. All this for very few coins.
It is a very hard job, carried out with temperatures that exceed 30 degrees and many of these women are of advanced age. A work that violates any kind of right.

This is why we decided to give a concrete alternative to these women by building chicken coops to start a business of raising chickens from the ground with subsequent sale in the neighboring villages.
It is a decent work opportunity that guarantees not only the supply of food, but allows women and their families to have a job and not be forced to migrate facing a journey that causes death and pain. In addition , dignified opportunities for life, work, education, and growth are increasing.

WHAT ARE WE CONCRETELY BUILDING WITH THIS PROJECT?

The chicken coop we will build is about 60 square meters and can hold up to 650 chickens, with a storage room for feed and tools and a solar panel to power the activities of the structure.
As already done in other villages, after a period of general and specific training on poultry activity, local women will be able to take care of all aspects of the project:

– Daily management of the production cycle (45 days)
– Maintenance of the structure
– Purchase of feed and materials
– Sales management
Currently, we have built chicken coops in the villages of Sefa, Velingara and Wassadou. Now we must also give hope to other women in this part of the world that is so suffering and forgotten.
WE ABSOLUTELY CANNOT REMAIN INDIFFERENT!

DONATE NOW AND HELP US IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THESE WOMEN.
