"MI INTEGRO" project: 15 job placements for refugees in the assets confiscated from the mafia and in the social enterprises of Don Bosco 2000
In recent days, Don Bosco 2000 welcomed the visit of the AVSI Foundation, leader of the “MI INTEGRO” project, financed with state-run 8×1000 funds. The initiative has made possible 15 job placements in favor of young refugees, offering them new opportunities for growth, autonomy and inclusion.
The project, of which Don Bosco 2000 is a partner, is fully realized in the social enterprises of the association: the Museum of Legality and the aquaponic greenhouse of Villarosa, both assets confiscated from the mafia and now regenerated, and the Don Bosco Colony, spaces that have become places of training, work and social redemption.
During the visit, AVSI representatives were able to see for themselves the path of integration of the beneficiaries, accompanied by the multi-ethnic staff of Don Bosco 2000 who testify daily how “those who have been welcomed, today welcome”.
Roberta La Cara, Director of Research and Development of Don Bosco 2000, led the visit by underlining: “We hope to be able to give continuity to this path even beyond the conclusion of the project, strengthening the collaboration with AVSI and promoting together new initiatives in support of the most vulnerable people”.
The “MI INTEGRO” project is thus confirmed as a concrete step towards a more inclusive future, in which work becomes a tool for dignity and integration.
