DDon Bosco 2000:
"The fight against the mafia is daily.
Falcone's legacy spurs us on to do
more"

33 years after the Capaci massacre, the Don Bosco 2000 Association joins in the memory of Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo and the escort agents Vito Schifani, Rocco Dicillo and Antonio Montinaro, killed by mafia violence.

“Fighting the mafia is a daily struggle – declares Agostino Sella, president of the Association -. The example of these witnesses spurs us to do more, so that the blood shed was not in vain. Today, more than ever, we are called to fight the mafia culture with every possible action, large or small”.

Don Bosco 2000, committed daily to social inclusion, the reception of migrants and the promotion of legality, renews its commitment to building bridges between people, in the name of encounter and mutual respect.

“The mafia – continues Sella – wants to take away people’s dignity, it feeds confrontation, oppression, isolation. We, on the other hand, believe in encounter, in dialogue, in the construction of communities of solidarity. Being witnesses of legality today means being close to the last, giving a voice to those who have no voice, educating to responsibility and justice”.

Don Bosco 2000 reaffirms its desire to be an active part in this cultural and social battle, because only through education, work, solidarity and inclusion will it be possible to free our territories from mafia oppression and restore hope to the new generations.
